NOTICE TO OFFERORS

The University of Hawaii at Manoa through the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii (RCUH) is soliciting proposals for a General Contractor (GC) to provide Design Assist Services to include Pre-construction and Construction Services for the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus in Honolulu, Oahu. Pre-construction Services will be offered concurrent with project final design and construction documentation phases to promote project quality, cost management and effective scheduling.

RFP Documents with Plans for C-MORE HALE, BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES BUILDING RESEARCH FACILITY ADDITION, will be available for viewing at the OFFICE OF HAWAII PLANZ, 2929 KOAPAKA STREET, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96819. Interested Offerors can purchase CD-Roms or prints of the RFP Documents with Plans directly from Hawaii Planz at the Offeror’s own expense.

The project will provide approximately 29,000 square feet of laboratory, office, conference room and support space for the Center for Microbial Oceanographic Research and Education (C-MORE).

It is highly recommended that all offerors attend a pre-proposal meeting at 10:00 a.m., January 29, 2009 at Watanabe Hall, Room 420, 2505 Correa Road, Honolulu, Hawaii 96822. Following the meeting there will be a project site walk-through at the Biomedical Sciences Building, 1960 East-West Road, Honolulu, Hawaii 96822.

Proposals must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., February 23, 2009.

Proposals received after the stated due time and date(s) above will not be considered.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor’s license B.
BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
