The Department of the Interior (DOI) is requesting assistance from the Department of Defense (DOD) Innovative Readiness Training program for projects in the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument (PRIMNM). These projects include derelict vessel removal, marine debris collection, seabed mapping, circulation restoration, large construction projects, and location and removal of hazardous material and explosive threats. The intent is to align unfunded DOI agency needs with projects that can serve as training exercises for the military, thereby leveraging training to benefit the PRIMNM as well as the units.
