NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BID FORMS for IFB No. 09-0234, with plans, HALE KAHAWAI AND HALE LAULIMA, GENERAL REPAIRS, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822.
Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders attend the pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 9:00 a.m., January 22, 2009, at Biomedical Sciences Building B Court, Room B-101, 1960 East-West Road, Honolulu, Hawaii. Bidders may park in the Biomedical Sciences Building or Kennedy Theatre Pay to Park green striped visitor parking stalls for $2.00 per half-hour (30 minutes), or purchase a Gate Ticket ($3.00) and park in the Quarry Parking Structure (Zone 20). Bidders are to display the visitor parking ticket on their dashboard in plain view of parking guards.
Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Loren Lau, Office of Capital Improvements, 1960 East-West Road, Biomedical Sciences B-102, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96822, no later than 4:00 p.m., January 29, 2009.
Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., February 12, 2009. Bids received after the stated due time and date(s) will not be considered.
The work shall in general consist of performing all operations and furnishing all equipment, fixtures, appliances, tools, materials, and labor necessary to execute, complete, and deliver all of the work and related items required for the project as called for on the drawings and miscellaneous related work, as called for on the Plans and Technical Specifications.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor’s license B. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
