AMHD DIVISION CHIEF
The AMHD is seeking an accomplished and dynamic psychiatrist to provide administrative leadership for Hawaii’s statewide adult mental health system. The AMHD system includes forensic, community, and hospital services that are dedicated to support, within a culturally diverse setting, the recovery of persons with severe and persistent mental illness delivered through evidence-based practices. AMHD community and mental health services are delivered through state-operated community mental health centers and contracted providers across four island counties. Most inpatient psychiatric services are delivered in the state hospital facility in Kaneohe, Oahu. This position is based in Honolulu. Preference will be given to a candidate experienced in clinical and administrative leadership of a mental health system and is certified or has experience in forensic psychiatry.
