Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes section 440D-6 and chapter 91, notice is hereby given that the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Regulated Industries Complaints Office, will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 22, 2008, at 9:00 a.m., in the Leiopapa A Kamehameha Building, Room 204, 235 South Beretania, Honolulu, Hawaii, to hear all persons interested in the proposed amendments to Hawaii Administrative Rules, Title 16, chapter 182, relating to no rules combat or similar contests.
The purpose of the proposed amendments is to set forth medical reporting requirements for contestants, including testing for syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis.
All interested persons shall be afforded the opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments, orally or in writing, at the time of hearing. All persons wishing to submit written testimony are requested to submit ten copies of their written testimony by Monday, December 8, 2008, to the Regulated Industries Complaints Office at the address printed below.
A copy of the proposed rules will be mailed to any person who requests a copy upon receipt of .72 cents for the copy and postage. The cost of a copy, .30 cents, is due and payable at the time of pick up.
