NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BID FORMS for IFB No. 09-0150, with plans, Recarpet 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Floors, Building 8807, Library and Classrooms, Honolulu Community College, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822.
Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., November 21, 2008. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.
Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders attend a pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 1:00 p.m., November 13, 2008, at Honolulu Community College, Administration Building, 2nd Floor Conference Room, 874 Dillingham Boulevard, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Rosalina Burian, FAX (808) 956-0865, no later than 4:00 p.m., November 17, 2008.
Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., December 1, 2008.
Bids received after the due time and date(s) fixed above will not be considered.
The project in general shall consist of selective removal work, new resilient tile flooring, carpet tile, electrical work, and incidental related work, as called for in the plans and specifications. In addition, the General Contractor shall hire a third-party independent industrial hygienist (IH) to provide air monitoring, sampling and testing.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor’s license C-21. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
