Implement and provide advocacy assistance to wards of the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility by helping to protect their rights and ensuring that their voices are heard on issues affecting their care and custody; assess and monitor activities for quality assurance and in compliance with Performance-based Standards program; and coordinate volunteer programs that will provide meaningful activities for the wards.
Qualification Summary:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences from an accredited college or university; one (1) year professional work experience counseling adolescents, advocating for troubled youth or youth-at-risk and or working as a Guardian Ad Litem. Requires a valid driver’s license. Relevant substitutions allowed.
