BOARD AND COMMISSION LIAISON
HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL

City Council is looking for a multi-talented person to serve as liaison to its boards, commissions and task forces.

Selected individual shall provide staff assistance to commissions, boards and task forces created by the City Council. Entities included are its Clean Water and Natural Lands Commission and Agricultural Development Task Force. Pending organizations are a wildfire prevention task force and a task force to identify and address issues related to care and maintenance of streams, ditches and other flood control facilities.

Duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following: contact members and schedule meetings; post notices and prepare necessary materials for meetings; record minutes; advise members of procedural matters; relay legal questions to Council Chair for referral to attorneys; draft and finalize documents; serve as liaison with the Council through its Chair, and with other governmental agencies and community groups; conduct research; assist with maintenance of commission data on Council’s website; perform other duties as needed. Individual reports directly to Council Chair or appropriate appointed Councilmember.

Compensation shall be commensurate with experience. This is a non-civil service salaried position-full-time with benefits.
