Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund (EUTF)

About the EUTF: The EUTF is an agency of the State of Hawaii established under HRS Chapter 87A. The purpose of the EUTF is to provide health and other benefit plans to state and county employees and retirees at a cost affordable to both the public employers and the public employees. The benefit plans offered by the EUTF to approximately 85,000 employees and retirees include medical, prescription drug, vision, dental, and life insurance. The EUTF’s day-to-day operations are administered by an administrator appointed by the Board of Trustees which directs and oversees the trust fund. The EUTF is organized under three branches; Financial Services Branch, Information Systems Branch, and Member Services Branch.

EUTF INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

Provide on-site technical support services for hardware and software relating to servers, personal computers, network, and telecommunication infrastructure; maintain EUTF’s informational systems; ensure compliance with HIPAA Security policies; and other duties as required.
Requires: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 2-1/2 years of progressively responsible work experience in network and/or system administration, data processing systems analysis, or database management. Experience with LANs, WANs, VPNs, Firewalls, Internet/Intranet administration, telecommunication hardware/software and security highly desirable.

Position is exempt from civil service and classified as temporary. Must be U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. Includes eligibility for health and retirement benefits, paid leaves, and paid holidays.
