The HHFDC is responsible for the financing and development of affordable housing in the State of Hawaii and is seeking highly motivated and dedicated professionals for the following positions: Development Branch Chief
Oversees the Development Branch which facilitates the development of affordable homes through the provision of land, financing or processing of land use approvals pursuant to Chapter 201H, Hawaii Revised Statutes. Candidates must possess a degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture, planning, real estate or business with ten (10) or more years of experience in the development of housing or infrastructure or a degree from an accredited college or university in any field with twelve (12) or more years of housing/infrastructure development experience. At least three (3) years of professional supervisory work experience is also required. Housing Development Section Chief
Responsible for a variety of programs, project management, and supervisory tasks for the development of affordable housing, which include the various phases of housing development. Responsible for and supervises project teams in the planning, budgeting, solicitation of bids and proposals, awards, and the administration of contracts. Candidates must possess a degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in real estate development, finance, planning, architecture, engineering, construction management, building construction or other related disciplines. Eight (8) years experience in the planning, design and construction of projects as a project coordinator, project manager or contracting officer is preferred. In addition, three (3) years of applicable supervisory experience is preferred. Housing Development Specialist III
Responsible for a variety of programs and project management tasks for the development of affordable housing, which includes the various phases of housing development. Responsible for the planning, budgeting, solicitation of bids and proposals, awards, and the administration of contracts. Candidates must possess a degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in real estate development, finance, planning, architecture, engineering, construction management, building construction or other related disciplines. Five (5) years experience in the planning, design and construction of projects as a project coordinator, project manager or contracting officer is preferred. Systems Analyst/Programmer
Provides consultation and technical support for all hardware, software, networking, and connectivity in a Windows-based, PC environment and must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong technical experience for supportive internal and external customer interaction. Candidates must possess a degree from an accredited college or university preferably in Information Sciences with at least three (3) years of progressively responsible technical experience involving a variety of hardware, software, and transmission media that enable connectivity between mainframe, personal computers, and LANs/WANs. Budget Analyst Responsible for budget preparation, monitors expenditures against the approved budget, and provides evaluation of changes and the impact on various program funds. Candidates must possess a degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, economics or finance. Candidates must have at least four (4) years of experience in program analysis and evaluation, program planning, budgeting or any combination of these areas.
