Hawaii State Hospital (HSH) is a JCAHO accredited facility licensed for 190 beds providing psychiatric inpatient services for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. We are currently recruiting for the following non-civil service exempt positions:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses
Nursing Unit – Position collaborates with Nurse Managers with regard to clinical supervision on identified individuals or group nursing staff. Provides consultation regarding difficult patients needing specialized nursing care. Assesses continuing educational needs of nursing staff and conducts 1:1 or group health classes for patients and staff. Designs curricula targeting special needs for patients and staff. Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain appropriate Hawaii licensure.
Medical Services Unit – Duties for this position include assuming primary care treatment responsibilities for patients in collaboration with two Board certified physicians (IM and FP). Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain appropriate Hawaii licensure and demonstrate experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
We will be hiring within the salary range of $83,556-$97,260. Applicants with Prescriptive Authority will be considered within the salary range of $90,360-$105,180.
Risk Manager
Position is responsible for independently identifying areas of potential and actual loss, facilitating coordinated corrective actions and consultation in order to improve the quality of patient care and reduce the risk of loss at Hawaii State Hospital.
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain a Hawaii RN license. Master’s degree in Nursing Administration, Business, Public Health or Law preferred. Minimum of five years experience in a Hospital Risk Management position preferred.
