HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS (HOME) PROGRAM

Pursuant to the City and County of Honolulu’s Citizen Participation Plan for the HOME program, the following is provided for your information. The following change is being proposed for implementation.

The City proposes to decrease the amount of HOME funds invested in the Kulana Malama (Ewa Villages Area I) project, a nursing home for medically fragile children located at 91-1360 Karayan Street, Ewa Beach, by $657,849.76 and to increase the amount of HOME funds invested in the Tusitala (Ainahau) Vista project, an affordable senior rental housing project located at 2423 Ala Wai Boulevard, Honolulu. The amount of HOME funds invested in the Tusitala (Ainahau) Vista project would be increased from $1,900,000 to $2,557,849.76. The additional HOME funds invested in the Tusitala (Ainahau) Vista project would result in an increase in the number of HOME units, from 11 to 14. The decrease in HOME funds invested in the Kulana Malama project would effectively remove the HOME regulatory requirements from the project.
