INVITATION (NOTICE) TO BIDDERS
(Chapter 103D, HRS)
SEALED BIDS will be received at the HAWAII HOUSING FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (HHFDC), 677 Queen Street, Suite 300, Honolulu, Hawaii up to 2:00 p.m., May 8, 2008, for REPAIR AND RENOVATION OF KAMAKEE VISTA, 1065 KAWAIAHAO STREET AND 1050 QUEEN STREET, HONOLULU, OAHU, HAWAII, PROJECT NO. 05-002-8513-S, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the due time and date will not be considered.
Bidding documents may be examined or obtained at the Asset Management Branch, at 677 Queen Street, Suite 300. A CASHIER\u00D5S CHECK or cash for Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per set, payable to HHFDC is required. Payments are non-refundable.
NOTICE OF INTENT TO BID: INTENT TO BID must be received by the HHFDC at 677 Queen Street, Honolulu, Hawaii no later than 2:00 p.m. on the tenth (10th) calendar day prior to the date designated for opening of bids. Intent forms are included in the bidding documents and are available at the above address. The Notice may be filed by fax at (808-587-0600). Bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor\u00D5s B Classification License to be eligible to bid.
THE WORK: The work of this project will be completed over three phases as defined in Section 01014 Work Phasing and is to provide labor and materials to complete selective site improvements, structural concrete spall repairs, concrete unit masonry work, restoration of exterior vertical and horizontal building finishes, re-roofing, selective incidental mechanical and electrical work.
The Pre-Bid Site Inspection Meeting is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on April 14, 2008. Attendance by all bidders on this project is mandatory. All interested Contractors and Subcontractors shall schedule their visit prior to and after the Pre-Bid Inspection Meeting with Mr. James Walker at (808) 594-0121 or Mr. Leon Noe at (808) 587-0538.
