The HHFDC is responsible for the financing and development of affordable housing in the State of Hawaii and is seeking highly motivated and dedicated professionals for the following positions: Housing Development Specialist I
Performs a variety of program and project management tasks for the development of affordable housing by the HHFDC. Such tasks include the various phases of housing development from locating housing sites, preparing environmental studies, feasibility studies and pro-forma, master planning, processing the required permits, and constructing housing units. Assists in the planning, budgeting, solicitation of bids and proposals, award, and administration of contracts for affordable housing projects. Candidates must possess a college degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in real estate development and/or finance, physical planning, architecture, engineering, construction management, building construction or other related architect/engineering disciplines. Three (3) years experience in the planning, design and construction of projects as a project coordinator, project manager or contracting officer is preferred. Housing Development Specialist II

Also plans, budgets, solicits bids and proposals, recommends awards, and administers contracts for affordable housing projects. Candidates must possess a college degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in real estate development and/or finance, physical planning, architecture, engineering, construction management, building construction or other related architect/engineering disciplines. Five (5) years experience in the planning, design and construction of projects as a project coordinator, project manager or contracting officer is preferred.
