NOTICE TO BIDDERS

BID FORMS for IFB No. 08-114, with plans, Pharmacy Building, University of Hawaii at Hilo, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822 OR at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Facilities Planning and Construction Office, 200 W. Kawili Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720-4091.

Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., May 9, 2008. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.

Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders attend the pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 10:00 a.m., April 21, 2008, at the University of Hawaii at Hilo campus, Institute for Astronomy Building, Meeting Room #131, 640 N. Aohoku Place, Hilo, Hawaii. There is no charge for parking. Parking stalls fronting the building is available or in the upper parking lot. Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Jun Haruki, no later than 4:00 p.m., April 28, 2008.

Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., May 19, 2008.
Bids received after the due time and date(s) fixed above will not be considered.

Bids will be opened at 2:30 p.m., May 22, 2008.

The project in general consists of the construction of a new Building D and portions or new Buildings A & B. Work to include the construction of wood framed buildings set on concrete or concrete masonry piers with wood sidings, composition shingles, vinyl windows, steel and wood doors, gypsum board, acoustical ceilings, vinyl tile, carpet, toilet partitions, laboratory equipment, air conditioning and ventilation, telecommunications, fire alarms systems, landscaping and related miscellaneous work.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u00D5s license B.

BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
