- RESPONSIBLE to serve as the section supervisor to ensure that quality standards
- are upheld; that Medicaid services provided comply with State/Federal
- requirements; and also, to curtail Medicaid fraud and abuse both in the
- managed care plans and fee-for-service programs.
- Qualifications: Knowledge of: 1) Quality assurance standards for managed
- care plans; 2) Various management systems that track medical data from the
- managed care health plans and the fee-for-service providers; and 3) Federal
- and State laws, rules and procedures regulating managed care plans and
- Medicaid services.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to problem-solve and set goals and objectives;
- plan and implement training sessions to providers/staff as a means to increase
- understanding and compliance with State and Federal regulations; communicate
- effectively, both orally and in writing; prepare clear and concise reports
- and correspondence; establish and maintain effective working relations with
- others; and be able to deal with government and community professionals and
- the general public.
- Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing,
- preferably with a B.S. degree. The applicant must also have three years of
- experience in the performance of coordinating and developing quality
- assurance/improvement programs for managed care services to individuals
- receiving Medicaid.
