NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Office of Housing and Community Development of the County of Hawai’i will hold a public hearing on the proposed amendments to Chapter 4 of the Rules & Regulations of the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD), County of Hawai’i on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 8:00 am, at the OHCD Conference Room, Suite 104, 1990 Kino’ole Street, Hilo, HI or West Hawai’i Civic Center, Building B., 2nd Floor, Kailua-Kona, HI.

Pursuant to Chapter 91-3, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, the hearing will be to afford all interested persons the opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments, orally or in writing, regarding the following proposal to amend Chapter 4 of the Rules & Regulations of the Office of Housing and Community Development, County of Hawai’i.

Public Comment Period

The proposed amendment of Chapter 4 of the Rules & Regulations will be available for public review and comment from July 5, 2017 to August 4, 2017, at the Office of Housing and Community Development, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except holidays. The OHCD office locations are:

Hilo: 50 Wailuku Drive OR 1990 Kino`ole Street, Suite 105,
Kona: West Hawai`i Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Bldg B., 2nd Floor

The Rules & Regulations will also be available on-line at:
http://www.hawaiicounty.gov/office-of-housing/

All those desiring to express their views, arguments, particularly those who are of very low and low income, are encouraged to submit their comments in writing to the OHCD. The OHCD will consider any comments and views expressed by citizens on the proposed Rules & Regulation and may modify the Plan if it deems appropriate.

In order for them to be considered, comments must be submitted to the OHCD by 4PM, August 4, 2017, in person, by fax (959-9308), or by email (sec8info@hawaiicounty.gov).  Citizens may also testify on the hearing date at the locations listed above.
