PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice to Providers of Professional Services

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation-Airports Division, (HDOT-A), the owner and operator of Kahului Airport on the Island of Maui, have jointly issued a Notice to Providers of Professional Services (NPPS) in accordance with Section 103D-304, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), to seek the services of qualified architectural, general engineering, or planning firms to provide planning services to assist the FAA and the HDOT-A in preparing the joint Federal/State Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for proposed development at Kahului Airport, as identified in the December 2016 Kahului Airport Master Plan Update. The HDOT-A will contract with a consultant to work on preparing a technically and legally sufficient EIS and assist FAA with required agency consultations in an efficient and cost effective manner.
The selected firm will assess and disclose the potential environmental impacts of proposed Airport construction projects and any reasonable alternatives in a manner that complies with all applicable federal, state, and Maui County laws and regulations, including, but not limited to FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14E, Architectural, Engineering, and Planning Consultant Services for Airport Grant Project.
