NOTICE OF AMENDMENT TO PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE DOCUMENT TITLED
“HAWAII BEACH MONITORING PROGRAM“

The Hawaii Department of Health conducts monitoring of beaches to determine water quality under the Clean Water Act (CWA) BEACH Program. The Department requests public comment on the document titled “Hawaii Beach Monitoring Program” which specifies how the Department proposes to comply with the CWA. The document is available to the public at http://health.hawaii.gov/cwb/site-map/clean-water-branch-home-page/public-notices-and-updates/. The document is also available for public review, Monday through Friday between 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., at the Clean Water Branch (CWB), Department of Health, 919 Ala Moana Blvd., Room 301. The District Health Offices (DHOs) on Hawaii, Kauai and Maui will also have this document available for public review:

The DOH has added a public informational meeting on Hawaii (Kona) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the West Hawaii Civic Center Building B, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Hwy on July 12, 2017.

The DOH has also extended the comment period. All comments must be transmitted in writing, no later than September 1, 2017, to Alec Wong, Clean Water Branch, Department of Health, 919 Ala Moana Blvd., Rm. 301, Honolulu, HI 96814.
