NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) of Hawaii and the Department of Human Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), will hold a public hearing to receive comments on Order of Selection.

§17-401.1-5 Order of selection. (a) The purpose and intent of the division’s order of selection is to provide an organized and equitable system for serving eligible individuals and processing of referrals when the division is unable to serve, on a timely basis, all eligible individuals who have applied for services.

The public will have the opportunity to provide comment regarding Order of Selection on:

All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and to state their views relative to the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Order of Selection either orally or in writing. Should written testimony be presented, one (1) copy shall be made available to the presiding officer at the public hearing or in advance to the VR Administrator, 600 Kapiolani Blvd., Rm. 305, Honolulu, HI 96813, by Friday, May 26, 2017.

A copy of the Order of Selection in Code of Federal Regulations Title 34 §361.36 and in Hawaii Administrative Rules Department of Human Services Title17 §401.1-5 can be viewed on Vocational Rehabilitation website after May 1, 2017 at: http://humanservices.hawaii.gov/vr/policies-procedures/dvradminrules/
