NOTICE TO BIDDERS

BID FORMS, PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS for IFB No. UHWO 15-01 WWBF, WELLNESS AND WELL BEING FACILITY, UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII-WEST OAHU, KAPOLEI, HAWAII will be available from and bids received in the University of Hawaii – West Oahu, Planning and Campus Operations Office, F201, in the Maintenance Building (Bldg. F), 91-1001 Farrington Highway, Kapolei, Hawaii.

Scope of Work
The project in general involves renovating/retrofitting the existing vacant Café and Bookstore interior spaces located on the Ground Floor of the Campus Center Building. Both spaces fall under the UHWO PIKO Program. The existing Café space will be renovated to contain the Culinary Lab and Lounge area. The existing Bookstore space will be renovated to contain a Multi-Purpose Room, Fitness Room and offices for the PIKO Program. Work scope includes demolition, pest control, cast-in-place concrete, metal fabrication, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, water repellants, building insulation, firestopping, sealants, doors, windows, finish hardware, glazing, window film, gypsum plaster, gypsum wallboard, ceramic tile, acoustical ceiling, acoustical wall panels, linear wood ceiling, floorcovering, decorative fiberglass reinforced wall panels, painting, whiteboards, signage, fire extinguishers and cabinets, toilet accessories, AV equipment, food service equipment, furniture, roller shades, hazardous materials control measures, fire alarm system, automatic wet pipe sprinkler system, plumbing, air conditioning and ventilation, controls systems, electrical, telecommunications and incidental work as called for in the Plans and Technical Specifications.

Pre-Bid Conference
Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in the technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders attend the pre-bid conference/jobsite walkthrough at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Building E (Laboratory Building) Room E109, University of Hawaii-West Oahu, 91-1001 Farrington Highway, Kapolei, Hawaii.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor’s B License.

Request for Substitution/Clarification
Requests for Substitution/Clarification regarding the IFB and its requirements must be submitted to the Technical Representative, James Shattuck, UHWO Planning and Campus Operations, via email at jrs99@hawaii.edu no later than 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 4, 2017 Hawai’i Standard Time.

Bid Submittal Date
Bids must be submitted no later than 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 11, 2017 Hawai’i Standard Time.
Bids received after the due date and time fixed above will not be considered.
