COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS
Pursuant to the City and County of Honolulu’s (City) Citizen Participation Plan, the proposed reprogramming of CDBG funds is provided for your information. The City desires to reprogram CDBG funds from prior and current year projects and appropriate CDBG funds to Fiscal Year 2017 capital improvement project(s) that can utilize the funds immediately, in order to achieve CDBG program goals more efficiently and expediently. The proposed revisions to the following Fiscal Year projects are provided for your information and use.

City and County of Honolulu – Honolulu Service Center
Project Description: The City will utilize up to $8,752,842 in CDBG funds to acquire a property to house a facility that will provide services to benefit low- and moderate income clientele. The City proposes to acquire the property in fee simple, then convey the property on a lease or operating license basis to an agency who will oversee the management and operation of the Honolulu Service Center in partnership with other service providers.
