NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The County of Hawai’i, through its Department of Finance, will be holding a public meeting for the Kawa Draft Resources Management Plan. The purpose of the meeting is to share the draft and to solicit input from the community.

The public meeting will be held on:

Date: Wednesday, March 15, 2017
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Place: Na’alehu Community Center
95-5635 Mamalahoa Highway
Na’alehu, Hawai’i 96772

All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting to state their views regarding the Kawa Draft Resources Management Plan either orally or in writing. Written testimony may be submitted by mail to Iwaloa Chilson, Department of Finance, Property Management Division, 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 1101, Hilo, HI 96720 or by fax to (808) 961-8248, provided it is received by 4:00 p.m. on March 15, 2017. All written and oral submissions shall be fully considered and included in the record of the meeting.

The Kawa Draft Resources Management Plan Draft is also available for viewing and printing from the County website at:

Copies of the Kawa Draft Resources Management Plan are also available at the Department of Finance, Property Management Division, 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 1101, Hilo, HI 96720, or by mail before the meeting, upon request. Cost of copies is $1.00 for the first page and $.10 for each additional page. Copies may be mailed to interested persons after payment of fees for copies and postage are received.
