Traffic Schedule No. 2016-11

TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2016-11 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d)
ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXVII OF SECTION 15-17.1 ESTABLISHING CROSSWALKS; SCHEDULE XXVIII OF SECTION 15-17.2(d) ESTABLISHING RESTRICTED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING ROADWAYS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following item:

“Kunehi St., for its entire length.”

b. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by adding thereto the following items:

“Kunehi St. No left turn from Kunehi St. into the northernmost driveway of Hookele Elementary School, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., school days only.”

“Kunehi St. No left turn from the northernmost driveway of Hookele Elementary School
into Kunehi St., 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., school days only.”

c. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections by adding thereto the following items:

“Kakala St-Kunehi St. Traffic on Kakala St. shall stop before entering Kunehi St.”

“Kapolei Pkwy-Kunehi St. Traffic on Kunehi St. shall stop before entering Kapolei
Pkwy.”

“Kukulu St-Kunehi St. Traffic on Kukulu St. shall stop before entering Kunehi St.”

“Kunehi St-Luakalai St. Traffic on Luakalai St. shall stop before entering Kunehi St.”

d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas by adding thereto the following items:

“Kaonohi St., Koko Head side, distance 125’ makai direction from a point 1874’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kahapili St. (98-665 to 98-685 Kaonohi St.)”

“Kapiolani Blvd., mauka side, distance 85’ Ewa direction from a point 220’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Atkinson Dr.”

“Kunehi St., eastern side, distance 735’ northerly direction from the northern curb prolongation of Luakalai St.”

“Kunehi St., western side, distance 250’ southerly direction from a point 240’ south of the southern curb prolongation of Kapolei Parkway.”

“Kunehi St., western side, distance 180’ northerly direction from the northern curb prolongation of Kakala St.”

“Kunehi St., western side, distance 50’ southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of Kakala St.”

“Leihaku St., southern side, distance 60’ easterly direction from the eastern curb prolongation of Lumiaina St.”

“Magellan Ave., mauka side, distance 55’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Miller St.”

e. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by adding thereto the following item:

“Makaimoimo St., eastern side, distance 155’ northerly direction from a point 230’ north of the northern curb prolongation of Pakaua St.”

f. By amending Schedule XXVII of Sec. 15-17.1 establishing crosswalks by deleting therefrom the following items:

“Hawaii Kai Dr., 10 feet wide, the centerline of which shall be approximately 380 feet mauka of the mauka curbline prolongation of Hapuna Place.”

“Kalihi St., 200’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Nobrega St.”

g. By amending Schedule XXVIII of Sec. 15-17.2(d) establishing restricted pedestrians crossing
roadways by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Kalihi St., between Nobrega and Lehua Sts., mid-block fronting Kalihi-Uka Elementary
School at 2411 Kalihi St.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
