Traffic Schedule No. 2016-6
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2016-6 TO AMEND SCHEDULE II OF SECTION 15-6.2(b) ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON FEDERAL-AID HIGHWAYS (STATE); SCHEDULE IV OF SECTION 15-7.2(a)(2) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–15 MPH; SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXVII OF SECTION 15-17.1 ESTABLISHING CROSSWALKS; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESTABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule II of Sec. 15-6.2(b) establishing traffic signals on Federal-Aid Highways (State) by adding thereto the following item:
“Aniani Pl-Farrington Hwy.”
b. By amending Schedule IV of Sec. 15-7.2(a)(2) establishing speed limit–15 mph by adding thereto the following item:
“Auwai Dr., for its entire length.”
c. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:
“Kuwale Rd., for its entire length.”
“Maluniu Ave., for its entire length.”
d. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by adding thereto the following items:
“Kupuna Lp. No “U” turn from Kupuna Lp. at Kupuohi St. (southwestern intersection) from east bound to west bound direction.”
“Mahoe St. No left turn from Mahoe St. into the mauka driveway of August Ahrens Elementary School, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., school days only.”
“Waipahu St. No left turn from Waipahu St. into the entrance driveway of August Ahrens Elementary School.”
e. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections by adding thereto the following item:
Kuwale Rd-Lualualei Homestead Rd. Traffic on Kuwale Rd. shall stop before entering LualualeiHomestead Rd.”
f. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Iosepa St., eastern side, distance 415’ northerly direction from the northern curb prolongation of Hale Laa Blvd.”
“Mahoe St., Koko Head side, distance 150’ mauka direction from a point 90’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Hapapa St., 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., school days only.”
“Naniloa Lp., western side, distance 150’ southerly direction from a point 500’ south of the southern curb prolongation of Hale Laa Blvd.”
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Aniani Pl., Waianae side, for its entire length; to read:
“Aniani Pl., Waianae side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”
Manua St., both sides, between 1395 and 1425 Manua St., 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., school days only; to read:
“Manua St., both sides, from the western curb prolongation of Iliwai Dr. (eastern intersection) to a point 137’ west of the western curb prolongation of Iliwai Dr. (western intersection).”
g. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by amending thereto the following item:
Hawaii Kai Dr., makai side, distance 147’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Ainahou St.; to read:
“Hawaii Kai Dr., makai side, distance 192’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Ainahou St.”
h. By amending Schedule XXVII of Sec. 15-17.1 establishing crosswalks by adding thereto the following item:
“Iosepa St., 10’ wide, 370’ north of the northern curb prolongation of Hale Laa Blvd.”
i. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Mahoe St., right turn only from August Ahrens Elementary School’s mauka driveway into Mahoe St., 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., school days only.”
“Waipahu St., right turn only from August Ahrens Elementary School’s exit driveway into Waipahu St.”
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Kalua Rd. Bridge, between Mahana St. and Ninth Ave., shall have a weight limit of 12 tons; to read:
“Kalua Rd. Bridge, between Mahana St. and Ninth Ave., shall have a weight limit of 16 tons.”
Laimi Rd. Bridge, between Easy and Henry Sts., shall have a weight limit of 18 tons; to read:
“Laimi Rd. Bridge, between Easy and Henry Sts., shall have a weight limit of 16 tons.”
Paalea Street Bridge, between Mahana St. and Ninth Ave., shall have a weight limit of 20 tons; to read:
“Paalea Street Bridge, between Mahana St. and Ninth Ave., shall have a weight limit of 8 tons.”
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
