NOTICE TO BIDDERS

SEALED BIDS will be received up to and publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m., March 10, 2016 in the office of Ronald N.S. Ho & Associates, Inc., 2153 North King Street, Suite 201, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819 for:

KALAELOA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
KALAELOA ENERGY CORRIDOR
KALAELOA, OAHU, HAWAII

This is a project of the Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) and consists of the construction of underground utility conduits and manholes in Fort Barrette Road and Enterprise Road from Kapolei Parkway and into the Kalaeloa Community Development District.

Plans and specifications on CD-ROM may be obtained from the office of Ronald N.S. Ho & Associates, Inc., 2153 North King Street, Suite 201, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819 upon application.

Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-bid conference on February 24, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., at the office of the Ronald N.S. Ho & Associates, Inc., 2153 North King Street, Suite 201, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819.  The purpose of the conference is to discuss the scope of work, critical construction procedures and basis for contract award.  Failure of the bidder to attend this conference and to receive information discussed, which may be pertinent to their bid, shall not entitle the bidder to seek additional payment later for any work or construction requirement desired by the HCDA, which had been outlined at the pre-bid conference.

All bidders for this project shall be licensed "A" General Engineering contractors, and all subcontractors for this project shall be licensed specialty contractors, in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii.  Any contractor or subcontractor not so licensed shall be subject to the penalties imposed by such laws.

Bidders’ attention is also directed to Section 103D-1002, HRS, which relate to preferences for Hawaii products.  The Hawaii Products List may be examined at the office of Ronald N.S. Ho & Associates, Inc.
