“Women in Airport Fire Service” Workshop
January 9, 2016
The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) and the Department of Human Resources Development (DHRD) will be conducting a “Women in Airport Fire Service” workshop on Saturday, January 9, 2016, in Hilo and Kona. The workshop is part of a recruitment initiative designed to increase awareness of Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) careers for women. The times for the workshop are:
Hilo: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Hawaii Community College, 200 W. Kawili Street, Manono Campus, Building 388, Room 103.
Kona: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Kona International Airport, Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Station (ARFF).
To register, email HDOT-EEOC@hawaii.gov. Include your first and last name, the location, and subject: “Women in Airport Fire Service”. The workshop is free, and seating is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The deadline to register is January 6, 2016. Walk-ins are welcomed as long as seating is available.
