REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The City and County of Honolulu, Department of Community Services (“DCS”), is seeking proposals from qualified, private nonprofit organizations to lease a City property to provide housing for persons with special needs. The property is identified as follows:

1. ALEWA HEIGHTS PROPERTY

Location: 1816-A Alewa Drive, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817

Improvements: A site that includes a 2 story, 6 bedrooms, 2.5 baths respite center with staff offices and 2 multipurpose activity rooms on a 29,103 square foot lot.

Use: The property must be used as either: a) a senior community center, b) a senior day care center, c) a senior assisted living or residential facility (group home), or d) a respite center for persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and related disorders.

A Public Informational Meeting will be held on August 28, 2015 at the Department of Community Services, 715 South King Street, Second Floor, Conference Room 205, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813 at 10:00 am.

Interested parties may obtain a request for proposals packet at no charge from the Department of Community Services, 715 South King Street, Suite 205, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Proposals must be submitted no later than 2:00 pm on September 30, 2015.
