IRF Insurance Examiner II (Exempt)

The Insurance Examiner II is responsible for monitoring financial solvency and compliance with applicable laws and regulations of Hawaii domiciled insurers.

The primary duties of this position include financial analyses of domestic insurance companies and foreign insurance companies applying for licensure in Hawaii, examination of insurance companies and agencies, and monitoring insurance entities’ compliance with the insurance code of the Hawaii Revised Statutes.

Applicants should have a college degree and experience in accounting, auditing and/or analyses of financial statements. Insurance industry experience and/or CPA is preferred but not required.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
