NOTICE OF ANTICIPATED
JUDICIAL VACANCY

The Judicial Selection Commission is accepting applications and nominations for the judicial vacancy in the office of the District Judge, District Court of the First Circuit (O’ahu), State of Hawai’i. The Constitution of the State of Hawai’i requires that the persons selected by the Commission be residents and citizens of the State of Hawai’i and of the United States, and have been licensed to practice law by the Hawai’i Supreme Court. A district judge shall have been licensed to practice law for a period not less than five years preceding nomination. Applicants: The Commission invites anyone who meets the constitutional requirements and is interested in the position to apply directly to the Commission. Applicants are not required to be nominated. The application must be post-marked or delivered to the address below on or before the application deadline of April 25, 2013. TO APPLY: Please visit the Commission’s website and fill out form JS-P-084, Application for Judicial Office Form. Nominators: The Commission also invites (but does not require) persons to nominate qualified individuals for the position.
