COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
FUNDS AVAILABLE

The City and County of Honolulu is seeking applications from organizations and non-profit agencies for approximately $8 million in Community Development Block Grant and $3.5 million in HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds. Funding is made available from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

CDBG funds will be awarded to projects and programs that principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons, aid in the elimination of slums and blight, or meet other urgent community needs.

HOME funding is available to community housing development organizations and other qualified private non-profit organizations to develop and support affordable rental housing and homeownership affordability. Priority is given to community housing development organizations seeking to develop multifamily rental housing.

An informational meeting and technical assistance workshop to answer questions about the CDBG and HOME funding applications will be held at the Mission Memorial Auditorium, 550 South King Street, Honolulu, Hawaii, at 9:00 a.m. on September 15, 2009.

Deadline for submittal of completed applications is
Friday, October 2, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. to the Division of Purchasing,
Honolulu Hale, 530 South King Street, Room 115.

NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
