Traffic Schedule No. 2008-10
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2008-10 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXXI OF SECTION 15-6.7(b) ESTABLISHING TRANSIT BUS LANES; SCHEDULE XXXIV OF SECTION 15-18.3(c) ESTABLISHING BICYCLE LANES; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Kaiea Pl., for its entire length.”

“Kanunu St., for its entire length.”

“Koaheahe Pl., for its entire length.”

“Waiakamilo Rd., for its entire length.”

“Young St., for its entire length.”

b. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections by adding thereto the following item:

“Thurston Ave-Wilder Ave. Traffic on Thurston Ave. shall stop before entering Wilder Ave.”

c. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Apuu St., western side, from a point 28’ north of the northern curb prolongation of Apuu Pl. to and including its turnaround area.”

“Campbell Ave., Ewa side, distance 68’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Duval St.”

“Hamumu St., Koko Head (eastern) side, from the mauka (northern) curb prolongation of Hamumu Pl. to and including its turnaround area.”

“Henry St., Koko Head side, distance 65’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Laimi Rd.”

“Henry St., Ewa side, distance 37’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Klebahn Pl.”

“Henry St., Ewa side, distance 82’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Klebahn Pl.”

“Hui Akikiki Pl., northern side, from a point 360’ westerly direction from the western curb prolongation of Hui Iwa St. to and including its turnaround area.”

“Hui Iwa Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Kaiea Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Kanunu St., makai side, distance 57’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Poni St.”

“Luluku Rd., Kahuku side, distance 216’ mauka (westerly) direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Kamehameha Hwy.”

“Monsarrat Ave., makai side, distance 59’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Diamond Head Cir.”

“Monsarrat Ave., mauka side, distance 84’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Kanaina Ave.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Armstrong St., makai side, distance 32’ Koko Head from the Koko Head curb prolongation of East Manoa Rd.; to read:

“Armstrong St., makai side, distance 42’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of East Manoa Rd.”

Koaheahe Pl., Koko Head side, for its entire length; to read:

“Koaheahe Pl., Koko Head side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

Young St., mauka side, from a point 200’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Pawaa Ln. to a point 165’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Pawaa Ln.; to read:

“Young St., mauka side, from a point 124’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Villa Ln. to a point 176’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Pawaa Ln.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Monsarrat Ave., Ewa side, distance 80’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Campbell Ave.

“Monsarrat Ave., Ewa side, distance 160’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Campbell Ave.”

“Young St., mauka side, distance 55’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Artesian St.”

d. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops in the following particulars:

1. By amending thereto the following items:

Monsarrat Ave., Ewa side, distance 100’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Campbell Ave.; to read:

“Monsarrat Ave., mauka side, distance 124’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Campbell Ave.”

Monsarrat Ave., makai side, distance 150’ makai direction from the a point 1’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Campbell Ave.; to read:

“Monsarrat Ave., makai side, distance 150’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Campbell Ave.”

Pukoloa St., makai side, distance 150’ Koko Head direction from a point 121’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Mapunapuna St.; to read:

“Pukoloa St., makai side, distance 271’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Mapunapuna St.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Lusitana St., Ewa side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 49’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Puowaina Dr.”

“Lusitana St., Koko Head side, distance 117’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Puowaina Dr.”

“Lusitana St., Koko Head side, distance 150’ mauka direction from a point 111’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Concordia St.”

e. By amending Schedule XXXI of Sec. 15-6.7(b) establishing transit bus lanes by adding thereto the following items:

“Hotel St., Koko Head direction between King St. and Adams Ln.”

“Hotel St., Ewa direction between Alakea and King Sts.”

f. By amending Schedule XXXIV of Sec. 15-18.3(c) establishing bicycle lanes by adding thereto the following item:

“Young St., both sides, between Victoria and Pensacola Sts.”

g. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Hotel St., between Alakea and N. King Sts., transit buses only, in both directions, except authorized emergency and maintenance vehicles, authorized vehicles with special permits and handi-vans.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
