Sealed bids will be received at the Hawaii Housing     Finance and Development Corporation (“HHFDC”), 677 Queen Street, Suite 300, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, up to 2:00 P. Tenders by sealed bids for a concession contract to operate and maintain a Restaurant and Lounge       Concession at Hilo International Airport and Kona       International Airport at Keahole, Hawaii (ĒConcessionĒ), for a period of ten (10) years will be received by the State of Hawaii, by its Director of Transportation, c/o   Airports Division, Property Management & Land       Acquisition Supervisor, Department of Transportation, Honolulu International Airport, Inter-Island Terminal Building, 400 Rodgers Boulevard, Suite 700, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819-1880 (“Airports Office”), up to 2:00 p.m. on August 1, 2007 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.  The State reserves the right to cancel the bid opening for any reason whatsoever.

The survey should cover all major state parks as identified by the Hawaii State Department of Land and Natural Resources and the HTA, and should include, but not be limited to, information on: number of     on-island resident visitors to the park; number of off-island resident visitors to the park; number of out of state visitors to the park; listing of facilities and services available (e.g., restrooms; educational kiosks or signage; security; parking); reasons park visitor stopped at the park (e.g., recreation, use restroom, scenic view); what the park visitor did at the park; how long they stayed in the park; how they learned about the park; and what they thought about the park and its facilities.        Application and information packets are available starting on January 29, 2007, through the HTA’s website at www.hawaiitourismauthority.org, or by calling the HTA office at (808) 973-2258. Sealed bids will be received at the Hawaii Housing     Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC), 677 Queen Street, Suite 300, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, up to 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 22, 2007, for HHFDC Job No. 07-002-E12-S, Honokowai Kauhale –      Emergency Clearing and 24-Months Lot Maintenance of Remnant, Vacant Parcel, Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii 96761 at which time all properly received and time-stamped bids will be opened.

Beginning January 22, 2007, the INVITATION FOR BID (“IFB”) may be examined and purchased at the       Development Section of the HHFDC at the above address by interested bidders on the island of Oahu. Interested bidders located on Maui and other neighboring islands may examine and purchase the IFB on the day of the mandatory prebid meeting indicated below. The purchase price for each set of IFB is a non-refundable $25.00.  Cash will be accepted. A cashier’s or certified check made payable to “Hawaii Housing Finance and         Development Corporation,” will also be accepted.    Personal checks or personal business checks will not be accepted.
